A Perilous Undertaking

Hello, Fellow Book lovers I am back to bring you another awesome Review. This review will be base on Book-two in the Veronica Speedwell Series by Deanna Raybourn. I am so excited you guys this series is one of my favorites, and now Book four is about to be released in March of 2019, I can’t wait. But now let's get back to Book two A Perilous Undertaking was release January 2017 in the USA and is now available in Paperback as well. Guys Seriously, if Deanna Had Veronica Merch of any Kind it, Half my room would have to be cover. Veronica Speedwell will be a series feature in my Top Ten book list of the year. I can’t express enough about how much I love this series but let's see if I can provide more in the summary and final thoughts portion of the blog like always.

So A Perilous Undertaking is about Veronica and Stoker solving a Deadly Murder mystery. The Mistress of One Lord Miles Ramsforth has been killed. Miles is the main Suspect but did he do it. Miles friends such as Princess Louise of the Victorian Crown aka Lady Sundridge has to ask Veronica Privately to investigate the murder. OF course, Veronica decides to do it for personal reasons but she also Seeks Stoker's help. We also first meet the great Lady Wellington aka Wellie who is a riot of laughter through most of the book and also is connected to the great Princess Louise. As Veronica and Stoker investigate the murder we find out Scandalous things about all of the people involved even Stoker own family. But will we ever find out who the real murder of the Mistress was and why was she murder, you will only know if you pick up this series, which I urge you to do already.

As for my final thoughts on this book and the characters, especially Veronica and Stoker. This story really explains more about Veronica relationship to her family connections. We as readers find out what some of those family members really think of Veronica and how they try to use her. We learn why Stoker is so distant from his own family. This story also provides more knowledge about Stoker trouble childhood, and somewhat about his first marriage, which is discussed more in Book three. Stoker himself gives us reasons as to why he is so protective of Veronica around her family and his. We gain a lot of knowledge about who is who and why they are the way they are. Of course, we also gain information on the famous Lady Wellington and what she really thinks of Veronica and How that plays into Veronica Life. This book is so well detailed when it comes to these characters and their actions, I just enjoyed it so much and I can’t wait to reread them.

I clearly rated this book a five out of five stars. I honestly could probably read this series every day and not get sick of these characters. When these books are over with, my first thought is always when will Deanna Raybourn next Veronica book be released. I love how strong, fierce, and Independent Veronica Speedwell is for a Victorian girl. I also love how Veronica makes Stoker's Blush when talking about Romance among women and men. Stoker doesn’t seem proper to others but he is such a Gentleman with Veronica, it's clear that he cares about her. He always seems to put her first when making a decision, even thou it doesn’t seem that way. I also love Veronica Shocking opinions, she just voices whatever pops into her head and it reminds me of me. I personally related to Veronica on a Kindred spiritual level. My favorite thing about this precise book has to be how Scandalous it is for Victorian age. This book involves so much information about Victorian brothels and how the Socialites, like to enjoy their Personal time. It talks about Orgies, Sexual toys of the Era and it really helps bring Veronica Forth somewhat. What I mean by this is that Veronica just gives you such laughs when she is discussing any scientific Sexual information especially with Stoker. (I am not blushing you are lol). This has to be one of my favorite books although I say that about all of Veronica Speedwell Books.

Now I honestly hope you all check out this series, either from the library, a friend bookshelf or buy them yourselves because they are funny as heck. I one hundred percent will always recommend this series to people around me because it is officially one of my favorites. Honestly, friends, I can’t rave enough about Veronica Speedwell books, they really make you think and they are such a fast read. Once I begin one of these books I can’t put it down. Like I said before when I finish one, I right away want the next one to read already. So I hope you guys enjoy this review of Book two. Please share this blog with all of your friends. As always, all of the Links for these books, their reviews, and the author are below along with my Social media information.

Lora Leigh Cross Breed Review

Hello, book lovers of the world I have a special treat today. I get to talk about a book series I have love and read since I was 19 years old. This series is near and dear to my heart, I will never let it go. The series I am talking about is the Breed Series by the one and only Lora Leigh, and of Course, the book I am talking about is the one that Many will be talking about for a long time to come. Its Cassie Sinclair “CrossBreed”. Also, I want to hugely thank Berkley Publishing for this wonderful Net galley Arc. This Book will be available to purchase on September 25th, 2018. Now on to the summary and my final thoughts as always.

This book is about The one and Only Cassie Sinclair, the pride of every Breed Branch. But in this tale, we get to meet her mate. We also get to find out some pretty Interesting things, in general, about the entire breed world. I can’t lie We have all seen Cassie's type of Mating before in some of the previous characters relationships, in several of the books. But Now we get to really meet a grown-up Cassie.  We get to see Cassie with her mate and her family as she develops a more mature sense of oneself. Old friends come together along with new friends to basically Change life as we know it. This is the Breed book you’ve all been waiting for and its one you will certainly want to read again and again.

As for my thoughts, it is totally a five out of five stars. I had some hits and a missing moment with it. I had a missing moment with Cassie thoughts as a Mate. I felt like as a Breed lawyer, she would have had more Knowledge when it came to the mating aspect of things. But boy do I love the end, it's so bloody delicious. As for her Mate, well I feel like he is simply a distraction for the readers. He is not that big of a deal in the reality of everything (evil Smile). He is Cassie mate, he wants what is best for her but he is not the biggest Secret that this book keeps from you all. This story is made of secrets of all kinds. I also love the discussion in here about DNA which is coming from many different characters, not just one. I love how grown up Cassie becomes, it's not our little Cassie anymore. But I also love how Lora develops Cassie and gives her a complex breed adult personality. Cassie just really comes to understand more about her mate, her genetics and her life in the Breed world in my opinion.

I am not going to lie, Cassie is very scared of things because they happen so fast but at the same time she can handle them. She is unsure of how to proceed with these things but she eventually learns. She becomes a fierce unstoppable beautiful Breed female that nobody has seen before and she will make history. Cassie will be a force to be reckoned with, just you wait. I honestly just can’t wait for fans of this series to read this book. Its exciting my very center to talk about it right now. (giggly screams)

As for the rest of the book, it will take place, in a place that we all know but haven’t seen much of before. Old favorites will gain new information about themselves. Brand new people are coming into the light. We get more information on a few of the lesser known breeds especially Cassie Mate. We also find out who knew about Cassie mate before everyone else. Oh and the best of the best, a brand new baby is coming. This book is all about family, it has family everywhere. oh Did I mention, Secrets everywhere (grins). I only have an Arc and I have read this book twice already. I honestly just could go on and on about how amazing it all is and how lucky I am to have read it. I seriously can’t wait until you all read this book because in the end Cassie Mate, is not that big of a deal to me, it is so not. As always links below for the book, the author, and my social media. Once again, a huge thank you to Berkley for this Netgalley copy.

Wild Hunger Synopsis

So I have a very short Synopsis for the newest Chloe Neill Book Wild Hunger. This book will be released on August 14, its a new sequel Series to Chicagoland Vampires but this Series is title Chicagoland Heirs. Chloe is also doing a contest for this book, which I will be talking about more at the end.

Wild Hunger is the first book in the New Series Chicagoland Heirs. It stars Elisa the daughter of Master Ethan and his Badass Sentinel Merit. They both run Cadigan Vampire House. We also Meet the Conner Keene, son of North American Central Pack Apex Gabriel Keene. They come together in this book to help Solve a Murder. But while working together, Conner and Elisa both realize they have feelings for each other that cannot be denied. But Elisa wants to appear as Strong as both of her parents and as Independent while Conner has to decide whether being with Elisa is the hard way or Easy way. As they work on this murder together they must also help End old Feuds.

As a long time reader of Chicagoland Series, I would Suggest you go back and reread or even start reading the Original Series before this One. But if you have been here since the beginning and have read every single Merit and Ethan Book, You should definitely go get Wild Hunger when it comes out August 14th. All the links to purchase the book and for the contest will be below. I will also be back with a full review of this book at the end of this month. As always please follow, sub and Share.

Mightier than the Sword by Drew Callander and Alana Harrison

Hello to all my fellow book lovers, Hope you are having a great Friday. I would first like to apologize this blog was supposed to be up on July 9th and my Computer Crash that day. So I am putting up this blog today for Mightier than the sword by Drew Callander and Alana Harrison which was released on July 10th 2018. It is a Middle-grade book with tons of activities. So now onto my summary and review like always. Huge thank you to Penguin for providing me with an Arc on this book.

As I've said this book is a middle-grade activities book about YOU... Yes, You, or whoever is reading this book. It becomes almost Alice in Wonderland, as you enter this book. You seem to become apart of this fake world. A world where food makes fun of you. A French Stout by the name of Manteau has to help you defeat the evil Queen Rulette as she has the Great Prince S. You must save Prince S by all of these mystics aka Activity ways in order to Save Astorya. Now, will you go on this journey to save Prince S, after all, Manteau is waiting for you?

As I am rating this book, I am thinking about whether I would have loved this book as a kid. So please keep this in mind for my rating of a Five out of Five stars. This book is a really cute fun story. I love the feeling of Alice in Wonderland that I get from it. Plus I love all of the cute activities you have to do in this book.  I have inserted an Activity below for you to view so you can see how fun they are for the kids. These activities are also changing, it did take me a while to figure out how to do this one. I love Manteau and how he is always correcting the character which is literally you. I love how the writers came up with different meanings for words and added little jokes throughout this book. This book is great for a child between 8 and 12 who loves cute stories like Disney fairy tales and fun activities. Now you get to really check out this funny adorable book. As always all links will be below for the book, the authors, and my social media. I am truly sorry for this blog not being up on time and I hope you will return to read more of my blogs.

Escaping From Houdini

Come one, Come all to the Greatest Show on Earth. Kerri Maniscalco and JimmyPattersonbooks are proud to Present the brand new Cressworth Mystery Starring the Great Thomas Cresswell and the dazzling Audrey Rose Wadsworth. So take a seat on September 18th, 2018 and be prepared to be dazzle by the most impressive story of the Cressworths to date.  Now without farther ado, Raise the Curtains and let the summary begin for this amazing Audience.

As this amazing book begins, we reunited with Thomas and AudreyRose on a ship RMS Etruria during a romantic moment. They are on a journey to America when the ship begins with a brand new murder mystery. Along the way, we will see new love interests and find endless Possibilities. Audrey gains new friends such as the Great Mephistopheles and the Amazing Harry Houdini. She learns that Harry has a connection with someone very close to her which Surprise her. Audrey Rose also learns that she must decide which is more important to her or should I say Who?.

As for Thomas in this book, he finds out that sometimes love is not all its crack up to be. Thomas does things that we would normally not expect from Thomas Cresswell. Thomas also gives insight into how he solves the murders.  But in order to find out the life lessons that Audrey Rose and Thomas gains in this book, you need to check it out in September.

As a reader, in this book, we gain a lot of insight to Thomas and Audrey Rose both as people and their feelings. Audrey Rose really blossoms into a young adult with the challenges she faces on the ship while solving the murders. She learns that loving someone in life can give us some of the hard decisions in the way of trusting people. AudreyRose learns about who is secure and who is not. She also learns not to take the important parts of life for Granted. I really felt like AudreyRose saw a lot of change in her life in this story. AudreyRose really inspired me in this book and I feel like so many people are going to love her more in this book.

Like the other two books, I felt like Thomas really open himself up to us readers. We gain more insight into how he loves Audrey Rose. I also love Thomas flirty spirit throughout all of the books. I feel like he will always have fun in life because he knows how close death is to life. But we also see the little boy Thomas Cresswell can be in his more fragile moments, like expressing his feelings to AudreyRose about them as a couple. I also felt like we saw a lot of growth from Thomas in this book as a reader. He really has become a favorite book boyfriend and I can't wait for more.

As for this book, I rated it a five out of five stars. It is the best book in the series so far. Kerri really gave our two favorite characters a lot of growth in this book. As well as the fact that we get to meet Harry Houdini the escape artist. Then, of course, there is the mysterious Mephistopheles who might be the killer along with his troupe of performers. As the murders begin, we have amazing clues popping up like always. But as the murders begin to be solved, Kerri give us even more gruesome details in this book. The details really capture my attention throughout the book and held it even more so than the first two books did. To me, Kerri totally steps up another level with this whole book. Those who weren't so happy about the first two books will really enjoy this one I think. This whole book held my attention all throughout it, even more so than the first two did. I just could spend all day, and all night raving about how amazing this book was but I am going to have to let you learn for yourself on September 18th, 2018. Once again thank you to JimmyPattersonbooks, Hachette books and Kerri Maniscalco for sending me an Arc to review. I will for sure be buying the book because I need a finished copy in my life as I suggest you all do for this amazing series. All of Kerri Links are listed below along with my social media. Till Next show or in the Cresswads series, Next Murder victim (dun dun dun).

Twelve Steps to Normal by Farrah Penn

Hello book Friends, and welcome back to the latest blog. I would like to say that I am sorry for being MIA lately and also for being back up on book reviews. I have a lot of real-life struggles right now, so everything else is being pushed to the side and not getting enough attention. So I am asking that those who I have promised reviews to, please be patient with me. Now back to the real reason I am here which is Farrah Penn book Twelve Steps to Normal. I want to thank JimmyPattersonbooks for believing in my work and continues to send me awesome books like Farrah's to read.  Twelve Steps to Normal came out on March 13th, 2018 for release. Now let's get to my Summary and final thoughts on this book.

Twelve Steps to Normal is a Ya Novel about a Young girl Name Kira. Kira's Father becomes an alcoholic after the loss of Kira's Grandmother. Eventually, Kira's father goes to rehab which rips Kira's life apart and causes her to have to move. Now the day has come where Kira father is out of rehab and is ready for her to move back in with him. Kira thinks finally she will have her old life back to normal, but once Kira returns home, not everything is the way it was before. Kira has a hard time dealing with all of the changes. Her ex is dating her best friend, her father has bought a bunch of people home, to live with them and that one boy who was her best friend as a kid, might becoming more than a friend. So how will Kira hand all of this emotional and Physical Change? well if you want to know, you need to buy the book. Now on to my final thoughts about the book.

So first the rating, I rated this book a four out of five stars. The first half of this book seems to be really slow to me. I also feel like Kira father laid too much on Kira when she returns home. He basically expects her to be happy about having three people live with them when he told her nothing about these people. Then her father gets mad at Kira because Kira eventually let the fact that she was angry about the roommates out. I feel like the father just laid too much on Kira emotionally after he returns, and expect her to handle it out like she did when he was drinking. I feel like Kira learn more from the twelve steps program guide than her dad did. Also, I felt like Kira's Friends Whitney and Reagan came off as Pity sometimes, and want to make things always about them. Now as for the new love in Kira life's which was her friend from childhood Alex. I loved Alex, he just seems amazing, and much nicer than most teenage boys. I loved the love story between Alex and Kira. I wish Farrah has written the romance into the story much sooner than she did. The last half of the book want faster than the first half of the books. Overall, Farrah did an awesome job of writing this story. Farrah really did give Kira great growth throughout the book.  Farrah just made Kira so strong as a teenager and I love that about the book. This book was just amazing because of the struggles and growth of Kira as a teenager and person. I honestly would recommend this book to everyone. I can't wait to see what type of book Farrah writes next. As always I will leave links for the book, the author and myself below. Until the next review peeps...

Lights Music Code by Jo Whitmore

Hello fellow people I am back with a brand new book review. Its about Lights, Music, Code by Jo Whittemore from the Girls Code series by Penguin books. I would like to thank Penguin for providing me with this third book along with the new activity book Girls who Code: Crack the Code. Both of these books are now release for purchase. Lets begin with the summary and than my final thoughts.

Lights, Music, Code by Jo Whittemore is the third book in a coding series. This book is about Maya, who is an asian american, that lives with her mom and Stepdad. In this book Maya meets an old friend name Maddie who cause her problems before. Now Maddie has turn up at Maya school. She has told Maya that she has change. But the question now is will Maya stay with her true friends which is the group or will Maddie once again cause her problems.

As for the Activity Book: Girls who Code: Crack the code is filled with crosswords, connect the dots. It also contains code descriptions for coding on computers and scene creation for creating pictures. It really fun activity book for all who want to create.

Here is my creative blog video review on Youtube for this book, Melihbooktube. Once again thank you for allowing me to review these books Penguin.

As for my final thoughts, both of the books are amazing for kids. I read Lights, Music, Code by Jo Whittemore with my daughter and we both enjoyed it. We learn about making Mistakes and what you can do to change those mistakes. We learn how Maya overcame things and help people trust her again. It really is a beautiful story about coming to learn how to earn trust and forgiveness after making mistakes. The activity book is filled with fun crosswords, connect the dots and drawings scenes. I rated both books a four out of five, 7-12yrs olds will really enjoy it. I recommend these books for kids especially. Its such a great series who you really check it out.
