Talking as Fast as I Can Lauren Graham

Lauren Graham is well known for her role as Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. Although she starred and guess starred in many other shows, I most remember her as Lorelai Gilmore. I remember admiring Lorelai and thinking what an awesome mother she was to Rory aka Lorelai the third. Also  how strong Lorelai had to be in order to leave her parents home and raise Rory on her own without anything. For this character alone, is the reason I continue to follow Lauren and thank the lord I did or otherwise I would have not found this book "Talking as Fast as I can".  (Ps Sorry Lauren Graham for all the grammar Errors, if you ever read this.)

"Talking as Fast as I can" is now on my absolute favorites list of books because Lauren truly is a Lorelai in real life, minus the whole single mother aspect. As you read this book you will notice how much of Lauren as a person is put into Lorelai as a character. Lauren is funny, and bluntly honest about the role acting has played in her life. She makes a point of talking about being a female and how sexism in hollywood. She has a chapter where she points out that we as females can be happy about being single and love it because only when we love it will we find ourselves seeing more happy relationships in our lives. She also has a beautiful tribute to the Late Ms Carrie Fisher and her life as an amazing writer. She talks about the ending cliffhanger to Gilmore Girls revival without mentioning the last four words and how much those words are cliffhangers. She just really observes and gives her best opinions of life while being so funny.

When I first heard about this book, I thought oh Lauren Graham has written her autobiography and it will be a great read because I am a fan. I put her in the fan bias category, that I would say most autobiographies by famous people achieved. You know the category of I will love this because I am already a fan of theirs. But after reading this book, thats not the category for this book anymore. I rated this book five out of five stars because I will reread this book over and over again to learn more from Lauren and the lessons of life she has laid out for us. This is that kind of book where today you might feel one way but if you read it five years from now you might understand something she wrote better or differently, and for that reason I love this book. It is positively well written, very short for only 204 pages long( please Lauren if you ever read this, write a longer book next time. I love your lessons and need more) and wonderful for women who loving reading things on Feminism. While this book is not about the subject feminism, it does discuss it in the most simplest way which is awesome. I can't say enough about how much I love and would recommend this book to anyone

I hope you liked this review and I planned on writing more books reviews. As always I will have the link to this book and the author's social media along with my links. Please feel free to follow and subscribe to my links along with this Blog. Hope you have an awesome Gilmore Girl day.

SPLINTERED SERIES BY AG HOWARD

Splintered is a modern retelling of Alice In Wonderland. The summary of the story says that Alyssa Gardner is the great great great granddaughter of “Thee” Alice Liddell who met Lewis Carroll, and shared her story, then goes mad. After reading that Summary who would not want to read this book and see if Alyssa really is as Mad as the rest of her family? I know I sure did. So I pick up the first book, bought it home and wait till I had time to read it. I wasn’t sure I was going to even like it although I did like the summary. So finally I decided to read the book and here I am to share this wonderful review with you. On to the story or better yet off to the madness.

As I stated above, Alyssa wants to know why the women in her family, starting with her great great great grandmother Alice, has gone mad. Well, not just mad but absolutely bonkers, since Alice venture down the rabbit hole. So she ends up visiting her mom, who is actually in a mental Institution and finds out through her mom, about this supposed curse of the Liddell women bloodline. After the visit with her mother takes a disastrous turn, Allie ends up at home and finds more clues to the supposed curse. The curse leads Allie aka Alyssa to Wonderland and off to the real adventure waiting for her and her family legacy. As Allie enters Wonderland, she finds out her family real legacy and the reason it has been hidden for so long. But of course darling I can’t tell you that truth, it's up to you to go read Allie book and find the Legacy's truth.

As for the book, it was an excellent read, I could not put it done. I devoured this series, in fact, I finish the entire series within a week. I would have finished it sooner if I had all of the books but I had to buy the last two and wait. I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone who wants a fresh retelling on an old fairy tale. These books were as exciting to read as the original two books by Lewis Carroll. They had the same sense of madness throughout them that you would find in Carroll’s book except with a more of Tim Burton imagination and description tone to them. They reminded me a lot of Alice In Wonderland meets Corpse Bride meets Nightmare before Christmas mix with a lot bit of Fairy dust. So if you love Tim Burton, you will for sure love these books and want to read them. The major thing that I did want to note is that I notice the first book is about Alyssa entire journey into Wonderland, and the other two books more or less show the actions and opinions of everyone else around her. So you get to see the journey through all of the main characters in a way. I give the entire series a five out of five stars. I definitely say you should buy these books and read them like right now. I can not wait for AG Howard next book Rose Blood about the phantom of the Opera. Below will be listed all links and I hope you find this Review helpful. Now I am off to find six impossible things to believe in before my next review on this amazing series.

"There I go again"

I would like to start out by saying I am a huge fan of  Mr William Daniels. I always found him fascinating as Mr Feeny, from both, Boy and Girl Meets world. I felt like that character inspire me to do better with my own education and he still inspires me. So when I found this book, I thought it would be a great read and one I would truly enjoy. When the Publisher granted me access to this book on netgalley , I was incredibly happy, and would like to thank them. So now onto the story

As this book begins, Mr Daniels tells you about how he came to write this book on a legal notepad, which is something I as a reader can truly appreciated. I love when an author actually chooses to write their own story and then has it edited, especially in a biography. This part of the story, just drew my attention in to the book even more. The story continues with how Mr Daniels, talks about the first time he won an Emmy, which I consider highly deserve. As the story continues, you are taken back to how his acting career begin. He tells the reader how his mother invested her time into her children's career, while maintaining her own career. He really takes the time to give great little details to the reader like the examples above. I love how this book is written, how its more like family stories being told to a fellow love one instead of an actual book. I think this book has such a family comfort warm feeling to it. I would recommend anyone who enjoy Mr Daniels characters while growing up, to check out this book.

I love that as the book continues, you really great to know Mr William Daniels better as a person. I also felt like I came to appreciate his talent even more, and isn’t that what an autobiography is all about. Overall this book was a charming story about an actor’s life that I truly admired. I will also be purchasing the actual book when it comes out because I love this story so much, I would encourage you to do the same. I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars for the excellent writing and the great little details. I especially think if your a Mr. Feeny Fan or a William Daniels fan in general, you will truly enjoy this book. I felt like I was listening to a family member tell me childhood stories instead of an actor talking about his life. I just can’t get over how will written and detail this biography was and how much more I will enjoy Mr. Daniels now as Mr. Feeny, after reading his stories.

I will link below where you can find this book when its releases. Thanks for reading and please come and join me again soon for another review..

Coffee at Luke's Edited By Jennifer Crusie and Leah Wilson

The book doves into the story of Gilmore girls the show. The first chapter talks about the writing of the show, it quotes lines from the show. This chapter takes you back to the love of Stars hollow and how loving yet complex these Characters are. It refers to the show writing as not being written in dumb down way, but instead in a very smart fashion that everyone could enjoy and  feel intelligent. It really shows the meaning behind the show Gilmore Girls and why it was so important in the lives of so many people.

In the book, different authors share their own stories about the characters in stars hallow and how they relate to our own lives. It uses, what I would refer to as stars hallow language or Gilmore Girl-ism, which is the fast pace talking or moving life that comes alive on the show. While using each certain characters, such as Lorelei or Kirk to explore the characters quirks, in order to relate to real life and our own human stories. These stories are about everyday normal things such as family, friendships, feminism, which are just a few examples. I have to say I feel like this book does focus on feminism in such a positive light, which made me love it that much more because Gilmore Girls was about strong females.

The book really makes you feel like your in stars hallow, with the quotes from the characters. It focus on the unique-ness that only Stars Hallow people could have , that small town, George Bailey life while dealing with modern day issues. For example, Lorelai always seem to be the runaway bride or that Kirk had 15,000 different jobs. I mean who could not related to that. who hasn’t work different jobs or who hasn’t thought that maybe marriage isn’t for them. I know I personally feel like marriage is not for me. This book really caught my attention by using the different references to real life situations like the show would have.

As you continue to read the book you notice more of how the characters thoughts, actions or ideas can really relate to your own life but in a funny way. This book really took the time to make you look at life through the eyes of the Stars Hallow town's people. It shows you that if you just look around at your own life, you are very much one of these characters. I really throughly enjoy this book. I honestly couldn't put it down and it made me go back to the town that was Stars Hallow and the enjoyment of such wonderfully written characters. It truly is a must have for Gilmore Girl Fans everywhere. I honestly would go buy it right now, so you can enjoy it before the Netflix premiere of Gilmore Girls.

I will be posting a Youtube review on this book on November 26th, 2016 on my Youtube Channel: MelihYoutuber

This first book carries a lot of the old Irish charm and magic in it.. Nora Roberts is always great at bringing the Irish loving charm out of her magick book series but this series seem to not only have the usual romance from her but also Mystery and suspense of will they defeat this centuries old evil or not.

If you want to know the ending, I suggest you check out the series. I will also post blogs on the other two books along with Youtube reviews on all three books.. Hope to see you back here soon for more makeup and book reviews as well on Youtube

Kat Von D Mini Shade and Light Contour Color Palettes

Kat Von D Mini Shade and Light Contour Color Palettes

Kat Von D Shadows, have always been one of my faves and I have collected them for so long, that I just get excited when a new palette by her comes out, so these mini palettes where no exception.
Lets start with the case, it is compact, small and sturdy. These cases are a little more then half the size of her original Mini palettes from two years ago. These case are plastic, not tin like her old ones but still nice. I want to say they are the size of Urban Decay Naked basic palettes. These will fit nicely in any makeup bag even the Ipsy ones. The cases are so sturdy, i feel like the eyeshadows would not break will traveling with them. I just love these cases.

The eyeshadows inside are all matte. There are four Eyeshadows inside not 8 like her original mini palettes. The four inside consist of the biggest one at 1X2.63g or 0.092 and then the other three are at the size of 3x1.15 or 0.04 according to the packaging. The price is 26 dollars.

The matte shadows are creamy, smooth, soft and easy to use. They blend very well, apply well to the lid. The plum palette has all the purples and the two middle purple shades seam so similar that the darker purple needs to be apply a little more to tell the differences between the two shades. Some of the shades are creamier then others but they all give nice pigmentation.

One thing I want to point out is that I feel like Kat should have include more palettes in these collection palettes. She should have added an all nude palette beside the orange rust palette and then she should have add an all nude pink rosy tone palette similar to the naked 3. I would have love to see a very rich pink palette from Kat von D.

These palettes are totally amazing in my opinion. Kat does Mattes so well and i Believe these palettes are no exception. They blend well, they are smooth and creamy. They are easy to use and wear, you can honestly get a smokey or a more natural look from each of the palettes. They have color like all KVD palettes and travel very well. Plus you can't beat the price or size of each palette. I would recommend these palettes to anyone. So now I will post swatches below and pictures of each palette below.
