All things New Review

Hi book lovers of the world, and welcome back to my latest book blog. This blog is about All New things written by Lauren Miller and published by Three Saints Press. I received this as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for a review. The reason I wanted to read an Arc of this book, is because I suffer from depression and Anxiety myself. I love reading books about characters who seeing life similar to how I see the life. As for NetGalley, it is a website anyone can sign up for as long as you provide a review. This book is officially available for purchase on Tuesday, August first and I will be buying it.  So let's get to what you really want to know, the summary and my thoughts on this book.

This book centers around a high school girl by the Name of Jessa. When Jessa was in middle school, her parents got a divorce which causes her to develop deep anxiety. Of course, her mother helps Jessa gets help for the attacks but when it doesn’t work, Jessa decides to leave it. Soon after all of these bombs, Jessa mother makes things worst by remarrying and having a new family, which makes Jessa Anxiety worst. All of these things cause Jessa, to focus more on body image and hanging out with the wrong people. She meets a guy name Wren and everything seems to become about him and what he wants as well as her image. She fakes being the perfect popular kid to get through the anxiety. In some weird way, all of this helps her by giving her some control over her life. But on new year’s eve, after two years of dating, she finds out how much Wren is the wrong guy for her. The information she finds out causes a car accident which leads to changes in Jessa’s life. These big changes may just save her and help her grow to be a better person. So in order for you to know the rest, you need to buy this book, especially if you deal with Mental health. I do want to say that Jessa also has experiences with the spiritual world, just in case you don’t feel that way about things. Now onto my thoughts about what I felt from this book.

I rated this book a four out of five stars because this book is so well written about mental health and what the spiritual world could be trying to show us about it. I do feel like this book could cause some triggers though for teens, especially when Jessa is seeing scars on people faces. While I understand what the author was trying to describe with the scars and set up the story. The scars could trigger the feelings of those who are cutters. So I can see many trigger points in this book while others could not. I also have to say while you do have Jessa Praying to God for help and also somewhat dealing with an Angel who helps her understand what she is seeing, it's not overly religious. But at the same time, I did really love how Lauren wrote the anxiety aspect of this book, it felt so real to me. I could relate to many of Jessa’s feelings on being angry with the world. I could relate to how she saw the world and I could relate to how she wasn’t able to make friends easily. I have always been that type of anxiety girl that had a hard time associating with people. I also love that Lauren added diversity in this book by including many different Mental disorders. She added kids in the book who deal with Autism, and she wrote them beautifully. So many things were right with this book, that I could overlook some of the trigger aspects. I believe everyone who suffers from Mental Health needs to read this book, it will help a lot more than hurt.  I am just sitting here, writing, yet still feeling amazed by what this book has to offer. Protecting their Mate Vol 2 review

My latest read is an Arc that was provided courteous of the amazing author team which is Kit Rocha, but writing as Moira Rogers, for a new breed changing erotic romance release title Protecting their mate. Protecting their mate( last pack series) is available on Amazon(Link below). It will be released in three short volumes. Kit Rocha also has other books that Dystopian erotica romance series's title the O’Kanes and the Gideon Riders that are available for Purchase. Now let's get to the summary and my thoughts on this book.

The female lead is named Ashley, and the male lead is Blake.Blake has now help Ashley return to their wolf pack. Ashley is still in what is referred to as the mating heat or fever. The men of the pack all believe she hasn’t chosen her mate yet. This scares the men especially Lucas the Pack leader because of an accident that happens last time they found another female wolf. So basically Ashley tests her relationship with all of the guys to see which could be her mate. Ashley and the Pack don’t realize she has already chosen her mate. But if you wish to know who Ashley mate is then you need to pick up all three volumes of this book and read them

I am a fan of Kit Rocha so for me I am rating this book a three out of five stars. Why 3 stars, well because the volumes always leave you wanting more of Blake and Ashley as a team. I love the romance between them and how it builds as the erotica continues. I also love how Blake becomes more protective of Ashley through out the series. Now if you love Lora Leigh Breed series, you will love this series by Kit Rocha. This book contains action along with Erotica but also has a good character build up too. Even thou these are smutty erotica, there is a romance story there that I really love. I don't love Erotica that's all about the sex alone and has no story build. I would totally recommend these books to my friends who love Erotica. So if you wish to buy this book, the links will be listed below as well as the author's links. Also, all of my social media links are listed below too.

Protecting their Mate Vol one review

My latest read is an Arc that was provided courteous of the amazing Of Moira Rogers team, for a new breed changing erotic romance release title Protecting their mate. Protecting their mate( last pack series) is available on Amazon(Link below). It will be released in three short volumes. Now let's get to the summary and my thoughts on this book.

The female lead is named Ashley, and the male lead is Blake. When we first meet these two, Blake is breaking down the door that Ashley is lock behind. It turns out that Ashley is a female werewolf who parents would lock her away when she was in heat. That is not good for a female wolf, it's not safe and they can apparently go crazy for it. So of course when Blake rescues  Ashley, they end up having sex in the local motel to keep her safe and happy. But as the story goes on, you learn that Ashley might just be the last female wolf and Blake might not be her mate. So they end up going back to the local werewolf pack for help and more Sex. But in order to know the rest, you actually will have to buy the books.

I am a fan of Erotica like Moira Rogers so for me I am rating this book a 3 out of five stars. Why 3 stars, well because the volumes always leave you wanting more of Blake and Ashley as a team. I love the romance between them and how it builds as the erotica continues. I also love how Blake becomes more protective of Ashley through out the series. I also love how Ashley is a strong female. She seems to be able to fight for herself and knows what she wants. Blake knows he wants Ashley forever but he also believes in loyalty and duty to his pack. So for Blake, it becomes hard to stake his claim on Ashley. Its a great romance of will they or won't they. Now if you love Lora Leigh Breed series, you will love this series by Moira Rogers. This book contains action along with Erotica but also has a read good character build up too. I would totally recommend these books to my friends who love Erotica. I will also be checking out more of Moira Roger Books because they seem to be my kind of books. So if you wish to buy this book, the links will be listed below as well as the author's links. Not Your Side Kick

Hey Peeps, Welcome back to my new book blog. Today’s blog is about Cb Lee Book, “Not Your Side Kick” which I purchase on June 13th. I knew about this book for months but debate over whether I should buy it. But then I watch a youtube video by CeCe aka Problems of a book nerd, in which She reviewed it. After the review I was like I have to have this book. So lets get to the Summary and then my thoughts about the book.

The main character’s Name is Jess Tran and she is Bisexual. She lives in Andover with her Local Super Hero parents, but nobody else knows that. She also has two best friends by the name Emma and Bells. Jess also enjoys Comic books and making Comics. She loves watching 21 century movies because in her time they are contraband. But one thing is, that Jess thinks she has no Superhero Powers what so ever. So in order to feel like she is contributing to her home,  she decides she needs an after school job. She wants the job to help keep herself busy and earn some extra money.  She finds a job advertisement for this local Digital Electronic company in Andover where she finds out one of the more popular students works. The Popular student is name Abby and also happens to be Jess’s Crush. The girls also have another worker by the Name of M who turns out to be someone they know. As they continue to work, Jess and Abby develop feelings for each other but also have to find out what is going on with their company and the owners. Why have their employers disappear and why are people snooping around the company. In order to find out all of the Why’s? and also if Jess and Abby actually do become a couple, you will have to buy the book. Now on to my thoughts of the book.

I rated this book a four out of five stars. I really loved this book because the Super Hero aspect reminded me of 90s. In the 99 we had a Disney movie called the Smart House, then in 2005 we had another movie called Sky High. The book actually reminded me of both of these movies . I also thought Jess Tran reminded me of Thuy Trang “Trini” from Mighty Morphin Power rangers. I also love the cute love story between Abby. It was so sweet how she crush on Abby and How abby tried to show her feelings in return. The love story was everything a love story should be, sweet, adorable and beautiful. I also think if you have never read LBGTQ+ romance Young adult and you really want to, then this is the book for you. You will especially love this book if your into comic books, or fan fiction or fandoms. I can’t recommend this book enough and I suggest you go buy it right now along with the next one that is coming out about Bells. As always all of the author’s information, along with my Information will be listed below. Sorry this blog is late but life happen.

Hey Hey Fellow Peeps, I am back with a new blog. Today I am talking about a book title Immer by Denise McFarland. I was suppose to received this book from a Blog tour but I never did, due to issue. I was still impress by the summary enough, that I bought the Ebook Version. Normally I don’t read Ebooks anymore because I hate Ebook Style but I decided to Purchase this one from Amazon for a dollar. Now onto the Summary and my thoughts.

This book is About Rayne Daniels and Will Jaxon. Rayne decides to go out Jogging one day when all of sudden she is grab and dragged into the woods. Will Jaxon is the one who grabs her, but he helps her get away afterwards. It turns out that Will is undercover cop or Special forces Wolf cop as he was describe in the book. After the Kidnapping is reported by Rayne, Will Sends his people to investigate and make sure she is alright. But the Mob or drug dealers won’t dropped Rayne kidnapping, So Will volunteers to go back to keep Rayne from talking. This leads Will to send Rayne into protective custody by Using his friends Ian and Autumn. Ian falls for Rayne, not Knowing that Autumn likes him. But all the while Rayne is falling for Will Jaxon, her mate or her Immer. It all leads to a long drawn out romance danger filled triangle, but to know the ending you actually will have to buy the book.

So I rated the book a 3 out of 5 stars and here is why? The Book seem like it was trying to be too many things at Once. It came off as a murder mystery, then went into a romance novel, which was never fully tied off or finish at least to me. Rayne was acting like she didn’t know what she wanted. She was dating Ian Marcus while falling into love with Will Jaxon, at the same time it seem like she wasn’t telling either men that. This whole not telling the men, lasted almost to the end of the book and it bug the heck out of me.  Next Rayne seem to get over being Kidnapped faster then Will Jaxon actually did. Will kept being portrayed as the victim while Rayne’s came off as being totally okay, "I am good", after six chapters. The Story first three chapters came off as wham, wham, wham with no real transition between the chapters and no build up to the beginning of the story. Now as for the things I did like about the Story. I love that Will was a wolf and was an alpha. I love the Wolf pack story line and the special forces department. I really love Autumn, the friend because she seem to be all about keeping her friends together. She also was a really huge support for Rayne without the female hate or judgement. I love Rayne towards the end, and how she seem to build as solid Female mate character. I wish though that this has been a typical romance and not what I like to called a “Teenage Romance” where there is no lovely dovey moments just innocent kisses.  I will say if you do want to read this book, and like the summary, go buy the Ebook. This story is totally worth a the price Amazon has it listed at as an Ebook. As always thank you for reading this blog. I really hope you check out this book. I will have all of the links listed below for the Author.

The world has evolved. Fairies exist and have the power to heal. Vampires are real and aren’t to be trusted. Wolves have revealed their ability to shift into human form. Will Jaxon is both man and wolf. He is the Alpha of his community’s Wolf Force, the agency that provides security and protection for all mankind. In addition to his role as the head of his pack, Will has been working undercover to infiltrate an illegal drug organization that is trafficking women. When Will is coerced to take the lead in an abduction, he agrees in order to preserve his cover. But one look into the terrified, green eyes of the woman he attacks, leaves him powerless to continue. As Rayne Daniels stares into the face of the man restraining her, she sees a shift, for a fraction of a second he changes and his true form is revealed. She realizes he is a wolf, a protector, and almost before she knows what is happening, he releases her. Rayne escapes physically, but emotionally she continues to be haunted, held prisoner by the trauma of that night. When Will discovers that members of the organization are still looking for Rayne, his entire world is altered. Now, Will spends his days undercover and every other free moment keeping Rayne safe, because her survival has become critical to him in a way that he cannot explain.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Denise McFarland is thrilled to introduce her very first publication, Immer. As a voracious reader from childhood, she found herself frequently being drawn into paranormal fantasy novels, falling in love with the interesting quirks and powers that made the characters "para" and the stories fantasy. It's not surprising that when she finally jumped into the author pool, she dove toward her favorite genre. She has dreamed for years of being a novelist. So, when she developed a story that she couldn't get out of her head, she knew she had to start typing.

Rise of the Isle of the lost

Hey..  Fellow Book lovers I am back today with a review on a book I purchase. The Book is Melissa de la Cruz, “Rise to Isle of the lost”. It is the third book in the original Descendant Book Series, so far . It was publish between Descendants One and Descendants two movie. I purchase it recently from Amazon since the Second Descendants movie will be out in July. I have wanted to read all of the books since the first movie originally came out and has been on disney on replay. But enough about the movies let get to my summary on the third book.

This book starts out with Mal, Ben and the Gang at an event for the people of King Triton. As the book Continues, along comes a freak Storm which the gang believes is clause from the talismans, that where found in the second book,"Return to the isle of the lost". When they get back to Ben's part of Auradon, they ask the fairy godmother to destroy the Talismans. Only to find out later that what really clause the storm is King Triton's Trident, which was stolen and lost. The Person who steals the trident ask Evie for help. Evie goes to Mal, who goes to the rest of gang, to try and help find the Trident. Through Evie magic mirror they find out that Uma, Ursula Daughter is also looking for the Trident. Uma wants to use the Trident as her way into Auradon and off the Isle. But who will find the Trident first, will it be Mal, Ben and the gang or will it be Uma. The only way to know is to buy the book and read it because I am not telling you.

I would like to be very clear before I begin that I am looking at this book from the eyes of an adult. I do believe that Young Children would find this book far more enjoyable. So lets begin with my thoughts on the book. I rated this book 4 stars out of 5. I love the Rise to Isle of the lost more then the last two books. This third book reminds me of the first movie. It has that magical Disney Vibe about it. It makes me want to read more Descendants books and see more of the movies. The way Melissa wrote this book, I actually felt like I was apart of this world so much more and that I was able to see more of Ariel Story. I feel like that Melissa literally could pull off a Once Upon a time retelling with this series of all of the fairy tales. This third book had a Once upon a time feel to it, it felt like their was more to Ariel/ Ursula story then what we know. This book also sorta of gave you the impression that maybe Mal was missing her life from the Isle and maybe being Ben girlfriend was just a little to much. I felt like maybe Ben was being more responsible to his position as King and less as a Boyfriend to Mal, which could explain the storyline of Descendants two. This book clearly takes place before Descendants two, almost similar to the first book. The ending of this third book actually has me hoping for more books now in this series, and it also has me totally "Shipping” Ben and Mal as a forever couple. I enjoy this book far more then first two. I actually also felt like this storyline was more tied into what they are doing with the movies. I also believe this book was the best one yet. I really believe you should try this series, especially if you love the movies. This book is more like the movies in my opinion. I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next in this series, especially with Mal and Ben. All of the links will be listed below like always. Return to the Isle of the Lost

Hey.. Hey.. Hey?? Fellow Book lovers I am back today with a review on a book I purchase. The Book is Melissa de la Cruz, “The Return to Isle of the lost”. It is the second book in the original Descendant Series. It was publish between Descendants One and Descendants two movie. I purchase it recently from Amazon since the Second Descendants movie will be out in July, And I have wanted to read all of the books since the first movie. Now lets get to the summary of the book along with the review.

This book is about How Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos going off to the Isle of the lost again. At first they are receiving secret messages from the Isle and they think it is one of their parents or all of their parents trying to get them to return to the isle since Mal turn her mother into a mini dragon. Then they find out a fake group of Villains turn to heroes lure them to the Isle because Jay, Carlos and Evie’s parents went looking for new magical items that could destroy Auradon. Now Evie, Mal, Jay and Carlos have to find these magical items before the villains and save everyone. Plus everyone is trying to figure out how a magic dragon that looks like Maleficent is flying around big size again since her mini dragon version is still, under lock and key. But if you want to know how this book ends, you need to read it. Its not going to end the way you think it will.

I would like to be very clear before I begin that I am looking at this book from the eyes of an adult. I do believe that Young Children would find this book far more enjoyable then I probably did. I also believe they would not notice the comparisons that I am about to make. So lets begin with my thoughts on the book. I rated this book 3.5 stars out of 5. I love the Return to Isle of the lost more then the first book. This second book reminds me of the first movie. It has that vibe of Disney and its magical worlds. The way Melissa wrote this book, I actually felt like I was apart of this world so much more then the original book. This book was about learning to fight on your own but at the same time learning to know when you need friends to help you. As I said this book will not end the way you think it will. This ending actually made me want to start the next book which is book three “Rise of the Isle of the Lost” even more now. I enjoy this book far more then the original book and I actually felt like this storyline was going somewhere. I also believe this book was written better then the first. I really believe you should try this series, especially if you love the movies. This book is more like the movies in my opinion and I can’t wait to see what the third book brings.
