Hey Hey Fellow Peeps, I am back with a new blog. Today I am talking about a book title Immer by Denise McFarland. I was suppose to received this book from a Blog tour but I never did, due to issue. I was still impress by the summary enough, that I bought the Ebook Version. Normally I don’t read Ebooks anymore because I hate Ebook Style but I decided to Purchase this one from Amazon for a dollar. Now onto the Summary and my thoughts.

This book is About Rayne Daniels and Will Jaxon. Rayne decides to go out Jogging one day when all of sudden she is grab and dragged into the woods. Will Jaxon is the one who grabs her, but he helps her get away afterwards. It turns out that Will is undercover cop or Special forces Wolf cop as he was describe in the book. After the Kidnapping is reported by Rayne, Will Sends his people to investigate and make sure she is alright. But the Mob or drug dealers won’t dropped Rayne kidnapping, So Will volunteers to go back to keep Rayne from talking. This leads Will to send Rayne into protective custody by Using his friends Ian and Autumn. Ian falls for Rayne, not Knowing that Autumn likes him. But all the while Rayne is falling for Will Jaxon, her mate or her Immer. It all leads to a long drawn out romance danger filled triangle, but to know the ending you actually will have to buy the book.

So I rated the book a 3 out of 5 stars and here is why? The Book seem like it was trying to be too many things at Once. It came off as a murder mystery, then went into a romance novel, which was never fully tied off or finish at least to me. Rayne was acting like she didn’t know what she wanted. She was dating Ian Marcus while falling into love with Will Jaxon, at the same time it seem like she wasn’t telling either men that. This whole not telling the men, lasted almost to the end of the book and it bug the heck out of me.  Next Rayne seem to get over being Kidnapped faster then Will Jaxon actually did. Will kept being portrayed as the victim while Rayne’s came off as being totally okay, "I am good", after six chapters. The Story first three chapters came off as wham, wham, wham with no real transition between the chapters and no build up to the beginning of the story. Now as for the things I did like about the Story. I love that Will was a wolf and was an alpha. I love the Wolf pack story line and the special forces department. I really love Autumn, the friend because she seem to be all about keeping her friends together. She also was a really huge support for Rayne without the female hate or judgement. I love Rayne towards the end, and how she seem to build as solid Female mate character. I wish though that this has been a typical romance and not what I like to called a “Teenage Romance” where there is no lovely dovey moments just innocent kisses.  I will say if you do want to read this book, and like the summary, go buy the Ebook. This story is totally worth a the price Amazon has it listed at as an Ebook. As always thank you for reading this blog. I really hope you check out this book. I will have all of the links listed below for the Author.

The world has evolved. Fairies exist and have the power to heal. Vampires are real and aren’t to be trusted. Wolves have revealed their ability to shift into human form. Will Jaxon is both man and wolf. He is the Alpha of his community’s Wolf Force, the agency that provides security and protection for all mankind. In addition to his role as the head of his pack, Will has been working undercover to infiltrate an illegal drug organization that is trafficking women. When Will is coerced to take the lead in an abduction, he agrees in order to preserve his cover. But one look into the terrified, green eyes of the woman he attacks, leaves him powerless to continue. As Rayne Daniels stares into the face of the man restraining her, she sees a shift, for a fraction of a second he changes and his true form is revealed. She realizes he is a wolf, a protector, and almost before she knows what is happening, he releases her. Rayne escapes physically, but emotionally she continues to be haunted, held prisoner by the trauma of that night. When Will discovers that members of the organization are still looking for Rayne, his entire world is altered. Now, Will spends his days undercover and every other free moment keeping Rayne safe, because her survival has become critical to him in a way that he cannot explain.

Rise of the Isle of the lost

Hey..  Fellow Book lovers I am back today with a review on a book I purchase. The Book is Melissa de la Cruz, “Rise to Isle of the lost”. It is the third book in the original Descendant Book Series, so far . It was publish between Descendants One and Descendants two movie. I purchase it recently from Amazon since the Second Descendants movie will be out in July. I have wanted to read all of the books since the first movie originally came out and has been on disney on replay. But enough about the movies let get to my summary on the third book.

This book starts out with Mal, Ben and the Gang at an event for the people of King Triton. As the book Continues, along comes a freak Storm which the gang believes is clause from the talismans, that where found in the second book,"Return to the isle of the lost". When they get back to Ben's part of Auradon, they ask the fairy godmother to destroy the Talismans. Only to find out later that what really clause the storm is King Triton's Trident, which was stolen and lost. The Person who steals the trident ask Evie for help. Evie goes to Mal, who goes to the rest of gang, to try and help find the Trident. Through Evie magic mirror they find out that Uma, Ursula Daughter is also looking for the Trident. Uma wants to use the Trident as her way into Auradon and off the Isle. But who will find the Trident first, will it be Mal, Ben and the gang or will it be Uma. The only way to know is to buy the book and read it because I am not telling you.

I would like to be very clear before I begin that I am looking at this book from the eyes of an adult. I do believe that Young Children would find this book far more enjoyable. So lets begin with my thoughts on the book. I rated this book 4 stars out of 5. I love the Rise to Isle of the lost more then the last two books. This third book reminds me of the first movie. It has that magical Disney Vibe about it. It makes me want to read more Descendants books and see more of the movies. The way Melissa wrote this book, I actually felt like I was apart of this world so much more and that I was able to see more of Ariel Story. I feel like that Melissa literally could pull off a Once Upon a time retelling with this series of all of the fairy tales. This third book had a Once upon a time feel to it, it felt like their was more to Ariel/ Ursula story then what we know. This book also sorta of gave you the impression that maybe Mal was missing her life from the Isle and maybe being Ben girlfriend was just a little to much. I felt like maybe Ben was being more responsible to his position as King and less as a Boyfriend to Mal, which could explain the storyline of Descendants two. This book clearly takes place before Descendants two, almost similar to the first book. The ending of this third book actually has me hoping for more books now in this series, and it also has me totally "Shipping” Ben and Mal as a forever couple. I enjoy this book far more then first two. I actually also felt like this storyline was more tied into what they are doing with the movies. I also believe this book was the best one yet. I really believe you should try this series, especially if you love the movies. This book is more like the movies in my opinion. I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next in this series, especially with Mal and Ben. All of the links will be listed below like always. Return to the Isle of the Lost

Hey.. Hey.. Hey?? Fellow Book lovers I am back today with a review on a book I purchase. The Book is Melissa de la Cruz, “The Return to Isle of the lost”. It is the second book in the original Descendant Series. It was publish between Descendants One and Descendants two movie. I purchase it recently from Amazon since the Second Descendants movie will be out in July, And I have wanted to read all of the books since the first movie. Now lets get to the summary of the book along with the review.

This book is about How Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos going off to the Isle of the lost again. At first they are receiving secret messages from the Isle and they think it is one of their parents or all of their parents trying to get them to return to the isle since Mal turn her mother into a mini dragon. Then they find out a fake group of Villains turn to heroes lure them to the Isle because Jay, Carlos and Evie’s parents went looking for new magical items that could destroy Auradon. Now Evie, Mal, Jay and Carlos have to find these magical items before the villains and save everyone. Plus everyone is trying to figure out how a magic dragon that looks like Maleficent is flying around big size again since her mini dragon version is still, under lock and key. But if you want to know how this book ends, you need to read it. Its not going to end the way you think it will.

I would like to be very clear before I begin that I am looking at this book from the eyes of an adult. I do believe that Young Children would find this book far more enjoyable then I probably did. I also believe they would not notice the comparisons that I am about to make. So lets begin with my thoughts on the book. I rated this book 3.5 stars out of 5. I love the Return to Isle of the lost more then the first book. This second book reminds me of the first movie. It has that vibe of Disney and its magical worlds. The way Melissa wrote this book, I actually felt like I was apart of this world so much more then the original book. This book was about learning to fight on your own but at the same time learning to know when you need friends to help you. As I said this book will not end the way you think it will. This ending actually made me want to start the next book which is book three “Rise of the Isle of the Lost” even more now. I enjoy this book far more then the original book and I actually felt like this storyline was going somewhere. I also believe this book was written better then the first. I really believe you should try this series, especially if you love the movies. This book is more like the movies in my opinion and I can’t wait to see what the third book brings. The Problem with Forever

Hello Book lovers of all kinds, and welcome to my new blog of the day. Today’s blog will be about the Book “The Problem with Forever” by Jennifer L Armentrout. This book was release to the public in Hardcover May of 2016. I bought it in February of 2017 and the paper back version is set to release  June 27th, 2017.  Now lets get on to the summary of the book then my review.

This book is about a young girl by the name of Mallory Dodge and a young man by the name of Rider Stark. These two first meet when they are younger, while living in America broken foster care system. The home they live in was abusive and Rider ended up protecting Mallory more then most boys of a young age should be doing. Mallory was about seven or eight, when the abusive foster parent cause her to burn herself. This lead to the abusive foster home being investigate and these two children where separated. Mallory found a great home with great adoptive parents by the Name of Carl and Rosa. While Rider spent more time being shuffle around the system like most kids experience. Then when they are about 15 and 17, they ended up in the same High school. Things have change for both of them and some of it was not for the better. Rider lives in a dangerous part of the city while Mallory has a great life. But these things don't stop them from maybe finding love and while at the same time experiencing a heart breaking world that many under privilege kids experience every day. But this is where I leave you all, if you wish to know more, you need to buy the book.

I rated this book a five out of five stars. Jennifer as an author, did an amazing job of describing a very painful world as well as a different culture. She had hispanic and white American culture mixes in this book. She talks about the lost of life and how we can experience it. She really helps you to understand that you can’t lose yourself, when everything around you is falling down on you. She helps you to see that in order to have a forever you must see the hope of the next day, the hope of second chances. Mallory and Rider as characters where so well defined, so emotional.  Mallory experience of dealing with therapy and a painful past was beautiful and was so well written.  Jennifer made you feel the emotional experiences that these characters where dealing with along with the high school love story that comes from deep friendship. I absolutely loved this book and it should be a must read for everyone out there. It describes the foster care system in America, so well. It describes how beautiful love can be but also hurt at the same time. It shows you what it means for teenagers, when they see on a day to day bases, a society filled with care but also without care. It shows a privilege and a non privilege world so well. It shows more then the rose color glasses wants to see. It hurts but it forgives and starts again. Like I said this is a book that is a must read and a must own. I now can’t wait to read the rest of Jennifer’s books. As always all of the links for the author will be below along with my social media links. Please share and follow me.

Isle of the Lost Book one

Hey.. Hey.. Hey?? Fellow Book lovers I am back today with a review on a book I purchase. The Book is Melissa de la Cruz, “The Isle of the lost”. It is the first book in the original Descendant Series. It was originally publish before the first Descendants movie. I purchase it recently from Amazon since the Second Descendants movie will be out in July, And I have wanted to read all of the books since the first movie. Now let's get to the summary of the book along with the review.

This book is about How Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos all become friends. It starts out with Mal being banish from Evie Birthday party. Then 10 years later, give or take they end up in the same high school. Evie is the Isle only Princess per say, so the villains treat her as such. Mal wants to find a way to get revenge on Evie, so she ends up throwing a party at Carlos Home. Things go wrong and Carlos by the use of an invention of his, ends up causing a rift in the isle magical concealment dome. This leads to Maleficent, to believe that Magic has return to the Isle. So Maleficent sends Mal out to retrieved her dragon scepter, to gain power over the whole Island. In return Mal convinces Evie, Carlos and Jay to help her find the Scepter which leads the kids on an adventure. To find out what really happens, go borrow or purchase the Isle of the lost for yourself. Now onto my thoughts about the book.

I would like to be very clear before I begin that I am looking at this book from the eyes of an adult. I do believe that Young Children would find this book far more enjoyable than I probably did. I also believe they would not notice the comparisons that I am about to make. So let's begin with my thoughts on the book. I rated this book a 3 stars out of 5 simply because it is a Melissa De La Cruz novel. I usually find her books very enjoyable. Melissa Writing is amazing and it also seems to be a little bit unique to each story. Now I might have like this book better if I had read it before the first movie. This book is about  Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay becoming friends but it reminds me to much of the first Movie. It has a very similar storyline to the first movie. In this movie they go looking for the Dragon eye Scepter for Maleficent, in the first movie they go for the fairy godmother Wand. The book they learn the meaning of feeling the same as one another and facing the same issues they also do this in the movie. The first movie was very similar to the book but at the same time I found that the first movie would have been far more enjoyable then what is given to us in the book. I am rarely a girl who prefers the movie over the book. I never have been but in this case that is what is happening here. I feel like the first book has no connection to the new books in any sort of fashion. Book two and three seem to take on the story of the movie and build from there as to where Book one is all by itself. I would honestly go so far as to say you Don’t need to read book one to understand the new books or movies and to me that sad. The only thing I did like in book one, that had value was Prince Ben opinion on becoming a new king. So if you love Melissa and really want to read everything by her or you want to know Jay, Carlos , Evie and Mal beginning friendship, go ahead and read the book but thats about the only thing you need it for. Geekerella By Ashley Poston Review

Hey book lovers whats up, Its a new day outside so its time for a new book review. This review is on Ashley Poston book Geekerella which is a retelling of Cinderella for the geek guide girl. It was release on April 4th and I bought my copy from Amazon on April 17th, like I usually do with all my books. I find that Amazon is the cheapest place to go, and I am not sponsor by them, thats just how I feel. So lets get start with the summary about the book.

Danielle or Elle is the main female lead, she loses both of her parents at a very young age and her stepmom ends up raising her.Elle’s stepmom is a fake wanna be socialite, just like her Stepsisters.  She is a rebel who writes a blog about a beloved Geek Show called Starfleet, Which is much like Babylon five mix with Star trek. In the book there comes about a remake movie of the original show Starfleet very much like we had with Star Trek. So when Elle ends up getting a text message from the wrong number because her dad use to run a comic convention that is now huge and host famous beloved movies. She first tells the person its a wrong number then begins talking to this person. What Elle doesn’t know is that this person is the famous Darien Freeman who will be the lead in the remake movie. Darien is also someone who Elle doesn’t feel like should be playing the lead of the male main character. As the story goes on there is the possibility that Elle and Darien might fall in love? Will Elle finally change her real life and surrounding as well?  Will Darien grow up and become more of his own Person? You will just have to read the book to find out, now onto my thoughts about the book.

I rated the book a 3 out of five star rating, maybe even a 2.5 more so. Reasons Why? because the story seem to repeat itself. I understood from the beginning how Elle or Danielle was feeling about her life, but it was like her feeling where constantly recycle. To me, it made this great story so incredibly slow. I felt like the buildable to the ending was incredibly long and at times some what boring. Now Darien part of the story seem to have more of a buildable background story, it seem like more was revealed about him then Danielle. But yet Elle was the main female lead with a repeated storyline that we understood from the first half of the book. Darien also reminded me of Chris Pine as Captain Kirk. While Elle could be like Emma from Once Upon a Time, in the way that she wanted to save herself. But yet in the very same moment, she was like Woah is me, in pretty much every part of her story. I did like the Starfleet comic geek-ness of the book, but I didn’t really feel apart of it. I didn’t feel like I was in the middle of the scene or set up of a famous convention base on a beloved show. I am huge fan of Star Trek, Star Wars and Doctor who, so I love it when an Author can make you feel apart of a show as beloved as those. I did love the ending thou, and the beginning was awesome, it was the middle that seem to be a dragged. It slow down for me after the first half of the book and pick up in the last half. Its nothing like Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde. But it does have a bit of Geeky-ness to it, and it does have a pretty awesome storyline. The middle just seem to dragged and go no where at least on Elle behalf. Otherwise it was overall a great story, the writing was really good. Ashley Poston had a great base for a story. I love that Ashley added in different racial Characters as well which was a great ideal. But the Storyline especially middle half just seem to need a little more work. But don’t take my word for it, you might actually like the book, so I would suggest researching it or buying it. As always the links to the author and book, as well as my social media is listed below.
